Full body scanners have slowly crept into more than 20 airports since the September 11 terrorist attack, most recently at the Kansas City airport. Some are saying these scanners are a privacy violation and an insult to certain religions and just plain embarassing. Apparently these scanners are so sensitive they show genitalia. Well, that's a bit much, but I think that everyone might be missing the point here. With medical costs on the rise and a health care plan that is destined to turn out like everything else that falls under government control, lets combine airport scanners with medical check ups. It could be like getting your picture taken at a mall kiosk--stick in a twenty, walk through and it spits out a CD on the other side with pictures for your family doctor. Of course, then insurance gets involved, everyone wants more money, the quality of the machines go down....on second thought, I'll step aside and take the pat down.
